Live Zoom Tulip Workshop: April 16th with critique on April 23rd

This live interactive live zoom class will be on April 16th from 11:30 am to 4:00 pm eastern standard time. This class will be done in a workshop style. Kathleen will demonstrate, then give students time to try the techniques and ask questions. If Kathleen needs more time to finish the painting she will finish on zoom Saturday April 17. You can watch her live or refer to the zoom video she will send you. The following Friday, April 23rd, the class will meet at 1:00pm for a critique on zoom Kathleen will demonstrate multiple times showing students how to:
1. Work wet-into-wet using strong color saturation
2. Blur parts of the painting using wet techniques and semi-opaque paints
3. Layer wet-into-wet glazes
4. Paint a dark background
5. Mix greens
6. Establish a focal point
7. Paint glass and reflective surfaces
8. Distinguish between hard and soft edges
We will take a break about an hour and a half into the class. Students will receive the photo reference, palette and supply list, zoom links, an introductory video with drawing tips and the after class zoom videos to download for reference. Students will also be invited to join Kathleen's private Facebook page for critique of any of their class work. Some previous watercolor experience is necessary.
