In this prerecorded workshop students will learn how to paint trees and shadows on snow. Kathleen demonstrates using wet-on-dry, wet-into-wet, salt and other techniques to create texture in winter foliage. Learn to see and realistically paint the hard and soft edges, subtle value changes and color saturation with watercolor. These videos were recorded during an online zoom class. Footage from the zoom recording is edited together with the high definition video taken of Kathleen’s painting surface. The third video was recorded after the class. In it the artist explains and demonstrates the finishing washes, color and value adjustments.
